Beaune loser

Domaine des Croix, Beaune, 'les Bressandes', 2006
Not the worst, but not something to take up space in the cellar. The nose is full of dark matter: meaty soy sauce, blackcurrant and sea plum. Medium bodied Burgundy, with more of a savory element than anything approaching fruit, with leaves of blackcurrant and raspberry. A bit simple and one-dimensional, I see nothing to gain from letting these gather dust. 13% FWIW, I liked the 2007 of this slightly better, as it felt softer and more feminine. B/B+ For the price, (forties, if I recall), there are better, and surprising since it's a Becky Wasserman Selection which is usually a good sign in my book.
