Volcanic Wine tastings, SF/Oakland

Oliver McCrum

Oliver McCrum
We are holding sit-down trade tastings of wines from volcanic terroirs in southern Italy next week, and we have a few seats free. Five producers from Campania, Etna and Basilicata (Vulture) will be there; if any of you disorderlies are interested, please let me know. Producers are Biondi and Girolamo Russo from Etna, La Sibilla from the Campi Flegrei, Villa Dora from Vesuvius, and Grifalco from Vulture.

SF: 8/5 at 18 Reasons, 10:30-11:30am and 1-2pm
Oakland: 8/6 11-12noon

If you're interested, please let me know at oliver at omwines . com

Glad to see that your idea came together, Oliver, but alas I am even more remote than normal at the moment. Would love to try another La Sibilla Falanghina.

Well, let me know next time you're going to be in the area and we'll open some wine. I have a new undisgorged 'classic method' sparkling Fiano that's very tasty, too.

My plans are still evolving. If I'm in the city on Monday, I'll try to make it.

OK, but let me know first. It's a sit-down tasting and we only have a certain number of seats.
