Does the word "ressentiment" ring a bell with any of the AOC bureaucrats?

The wine is neither 'slurpable" nor 'hedonistic" (since wines can not be hedonistic), thankfully.

The wine is excellent, and it is ready to drink now.

it's non-AOC status, along with the large amount of crap "Beaujolais" being sold at the same time, speaks volumes about the weaknesses in the French AOC system.
