97 Il Sodaccio di Montevertrine

1997 Il Sodaccio di Montevertrine, VdT, 90% Sangioveto/10% Canaiolo, alc 12.5%, $45....browning at the edges and clear red/brown in the center...inviting nose...resolved tannins but drinking very well...love the layer and the earthiness...this is at a good point
 
The very first Montevertine I ever tried (thank you Luca!).

Good to hear as I have some coming from winebid once the weather turns cooler.
 
It'll probably be cooked.

Sorry Jay, not trying to be a downer. But so far every older bottle of Montevertine I've tasted that came from WineBid has been cooked.
