Prod. del Barbaresco 2006 Barbaresco

I bought this from RWC as a "bottle 9125+" bottle so it is supposed to have the cru juice in it. I did not know there were three bottlings... I only knew of two.

Youse guys drink your Barbaresco young! I don't recall Sr. Vacca mentioning the two bottlings of the 06-standard-cum-SV when we discussed the issue in 2011. But as he mentions in the dobianchi quote, he thinks that they are very similar, so I can't quibble about it. Next time I venture up your way, I`d be happy to tote along a vertical. Well, as many vintages as I can muster. BTW, their Langhe Nebbiolo is one of my guilty-pleasure everyday wines. But that's probably due to my lack of a palate (per Brad).

On another topic, a bottle of 2010 FX Loibner Frauenweingarten GV Federspiel was entirely unremarkable. Perhaps a nice picnic quaff, if it were half the price. I much prefer his daughter's GV at this level.
