CWD: '11 Lapierre Morgon

MLipton

'S' designation, via the Chicago importer. Hot damn! Wine that's sure to put a smile on your face and remind you of why you started buying Gamay in the first place. This is the most appealing version of this wine since maybe the '07 and I am bullish indeed on '11 in the Beaujolais.

From Lapierre in '11 I've only tasted the mmii, which I thought was crystalline.

I fell a bit overboard on the 11s early this year: it's nice to find a vintage that seems very good to taste, but isn't being hyped. Just brought in a few bottles of the Griffe du Marquis recently.

Haven't broached one. The grapes for this wine reportedly come from the same parcel as those made into the Cuvée Tardive and, Nathan's influence notwithstanding, I'm disinclined to open one until some time has passed.

Hm. Any reports on Desvignes's Impenitents?

the 2011 ? Won't that come out sometime in 2020 , to be consumed in 2030 ?
