Vincent Caillé Muscadet

Finland is mostly a Loire-free zone because of our inept monopoly, but I did come across a bottle of Vincent Caillé Muscadet S-et-M Vieilles Vignes 2012 recently and I really enjoyed it. Strongly leesy aroma; nice tingly, lively sensations on the tongue. Very pleasant. But since it's been years since we've last had any Muscadet available, I might just not remember what the good stuff is supposed to taste like. Though perhaps I shouldn't care since this bottle made me happy.

I think that is the basic wine from a good producer in a superb vintage.

My heart goes out to you. No Muscadet. How do you live?

Otto,
You should really see if Chambers St would ship to Finland (hell, they ship to Indiana!). You should see if you could get funding from NATO for a cross-cultural exchange,

This explains busloads of finns crossing the border into SPB on weekends to go on a samogon binge.

No Muscadet.
