Decanting advice 98 Vin Jaune

Specifically the 1998 Domaine de Montbourgeau L'Etoile Vin Jaune.
My wife and I are heading to Portland today for a jeeb Saturday evening and carrying this bottle with us.

Should it be decanted or opened for a few hours in advance of serving?

Also if anyone has a suggestion for a place to purchase a good hunk of Comté in PDX I'd appreciate it.

All day seems like a long time. I would rather do a couple of hours and see how it goes.

Or decant it and enjoy it in all its glory upon opening and, if needed, let it develop with swirling in the glass.
