Puffeney Les Berangeres vs M vs other?

I believe les Berangères is a vineyard -- it's the designation for the Trousseau. The "M" is just Poulsard. Here's Rosenthal:

"The "Cuvée M” is a special bottling of Poulsard that comes from vineyards located exclusively within the confines of Puffeney’s home village of Montigny-les-Arsures. Vinified in a manner similar to its companion Poulsard, the “Cuvée M” is somewhat more substantial with firm tannins in the finish. "

THX...just glad to see some Puffeney back in our market for a semi-reasonable price...love these wines

I've got a magnum of 2005 M, should I have had it already? Should I drink it soon?
Interesting. Was it as tough a vintage for Puffeney as for others in other parts of the Jura?

I have one of those mags as well
Yes...these have been a bit harder to get ....actually I have quite a nice collectoin of bottles back to 2001 but you really can't have too many...

I think 2005 was a problematic vintage. It certainly was for the Trousseau. I would hold and hope for the best, but who knows

Fuck it. It's on deck.

I hope the Poulsard came out better. It might well have -- the Trousseau was just too ripe in 05, weirdly more than in 03.

Drank my last 2005s nearly two years ago, which leads to my question of whether he makes an Arbois VV anymore?

I believe the vineyard was replanted after 2005 because the old vines were no longer producing an economic quantity.
