This has firmed up since the previous two visits. Today, it is surprisingly tight (surprisingly because earlier it seemed almost ready-to-go, an early-maturing vintage), much more closed with little aromatic pleasures. Today only Italian plums, red soil dust, and light tannins. A- Would love to have more to compare later... 14.5%

I have such fond memories of well-priced Guido Porro from the Kermit Lynch shop. Sometimes they would be in the closeout bin with a few years of age on them for barely $20. Or something like that. Whatever the price was, it was perfect for a grad student.
