1999 Font de Michelle Chateauneuf du Pape Etienne Gonnet BLANC, alc 14%...hand carried from the winery back in 2001...a blend of Roussane and Grenache Blanc....this was one of the most texturally interesting wines I have had in a while....matched with oyster gratinee and shrimp provencal... the wine was waxy and wooly...like a aged Loire white but had more interesting exotic spiciness and a bit heavier....changed over the hour it took to consume....really great

Also...2001 M. Chaupoutier Le Meal Rouge....really good and not overly polished or manipulated....showing well with an hour decant...matched with traditional Boeuf Borgonogne

Also....2004 Alois Kracher Welshriesling TBA Nummer 4, alc 10.5%....good as dessert by itself....a very interesting "sticky" type of wine....a nice ending to a great evening

White CdP has never been a hit with me in the past. Maybe I should try another?

it is not a "for everyone" wine but I have always enjoyed them....challenging in a good way
