12 domains, alphabetically, in a ballroom in Paris

Is this typical for Alliet, the VV has less new oak than the Coteau de Noire?

Yes; Coteau de Noir now sees 50% new oak (after some egregious excesses in the early '00s), whereas, I believe, VV sees nil.

Let me guess, double major, Lit & French? ;-)

Hey, I'm still waiting for someone to tell me that tasting notes in alphabetical order should not have Vatan then Clos Rougeard after Dagueneau and before Graillot. (This is because Foucault was pouring both, she said, altruistically giving away the secret to the pattern in the rug.)

Sharon is my new BFF

Woo hoo! I'm breaking out the cauliflower tonight.

Vatan (Sancerre) - 2007 Clos de la Nore, hm, nice, but I guess I don't "get" Vatan.[/quote]

You might be the first. I won't argue in favor of the wines, though, as I can barely afford them as it is.

Best,
Joe

I don't buy enough Graillot. That's a problem I should resolve to work on.
unfortunately, they're really getting up in price. 2006 regular Crozes is $26-35, 2006 La Guiraude is a ridiculous $53-60+.
That's more than I paid for the Hermitage just a few years ago.

The Graillot Hermitage is a myth, much like unicorns and paper jam-proof copiers.

FWIW, IMO, LOL, POS, I find the current simple Crozes much better than the current overworked "La Guiraude".
