Yes; Coteau de Noir now sees 50% new oak (after some egregious excesses in the early '00s), whereas, I believe, VV sees nil.

unfortunately, they're really getting up in price. 2006 regular Crozes is $26-35, 2006 La Guiraude is a ridiculous $53-60+.

That's more than I paid for the Hermitage just a few years ago.

The Graillot Hermitage is a myth, much like unicorns and paper jam-proof copiers.

FWIW, IMO, LOL, POS, I find the current simple Crozes much better than the current overworked "La Guiraude".
