Just in case you were ready to give them another chance

Well, no. I wasn't going to do that. And I'm no IP attorney, but jaysus, it looks like that'd be one trade dress suit they would lose. OK, maybe they have registered that specific yellow, but the Italian label is orange. Must have a been a very slow day over in the Veuve legal dept . . .

Perhaps the Politburo would enjoy these?:

I'm sure the VC lawyers would.

(I think the second one is a bit more subtle but since when is that a favored attribute of anything?)

All hail the Politburo, wise and strong!

What a coincidence, I've just returned from a supermarket in a northeastern state with a liquor distribution system to be named later, where I was browsing a very long wine aisle, wondering if there was anything at all I could actually put in my mouth from the entire selection if I was absolutely forced to - and it came down to either VC or some other atrocity.
Good thing about supermarkets of course is that they carry beer.

Subject to the uncertainties of the Italian legal system, I'm sure you're right.

But amortizing the lawyer's fees over 3000 bottles of (presumably inexpensive) fizz, it probably doesn't do much for you unless you can countersue and collect (Noodle knows when).

Anyone tried the Italian fizz?

Several people have posted on Another Bored that the quality of VC has improved dramatically (albeit from a very low level) in the last few years.

I have not felt the need to verify but admit to mild curiosity.

Peter has said something like that, too.

But I sometimes suspect him of being polite.

That is some fine work.

I think the first one is more in the spirit of the Yellow Label. Subtlety be damned!

While standing on a pallet I shall use the paints on my palette to make a picture that suits my palate.

(You know who always got an A on 4th grade vocabulary quiz, eh?)

I always studied at private schools and never had the advantage of a public education.
