This is grenache and carignan from Roussillon. Jay Miller should probably stay away, but for the rest of us...

Wonderfully sweaty and funky on the nose, this opens with a great big blast of sweet fruit which quickly gives way to darker herbal and peppery complexities. Stays impressively brisk throughout. Honest, satisfying, and very good.

They have a website.

I've drank a few of these and there has been a lot of variation. One was wonderful, another an undrinkable stewed mess, the third somewhere in between.

Did your bottle have much time to evolve, or was it rather quickly slu... I mean drank?

What's your take on the drink now vs. drink and hold equation?

Slaton, this is my third bottle in about a year and they've all shown relatively similarly, although this showing may be the best yet. Take that for what it's worth.

The bottle was drunk over a couple hours, and I have the second half waiting for me when I get home. I'll let you know.
