1999 Emmanuel Houillon (Overnoy) Blanc

I think it was gray or a similar darker color. On the other board someone claimed: gray is skin-contact Chardonnay, white is Chardonnay, yellow is Savagnin, and green is Chardonnay/Savagnin. Correct?

White, yellow, green are correct per my understanding...

Grey/black is not something i have personally experienced.

Grey wax is Overnoy's orange wine (i.e. skin-contact Chardonnay). I found one that Chelsea had carried back from France when I was doing inventory after the move:

My understanding is that black wax is the same thing. I guess the wine has only been made a few times and there is simply inconsistency of wax across vintages, if you will.

I am pretty sure it was a white capsule now based on the flavor profile. It was not my bottle and I am now in a different country from where it was consumed. Oh well... Thanks for the help
