Pecchenino worth the freight

Peter Creasey

Peter Creasey
Pecchenino San Giuseppe Barolo '07 -- Medium dark red, charming aromatics, red fruits, maybe some floral notes, rather soft profile, round, mild tannins/acid, full of key elements including fruit, nicely elegant, drinking well but no hurry, fine value. [E]

Excellent pairing with fried oysters on top of caesar salad.

. . . . . Pete

Well I think Peter is channeling Dressner from the grave, just to wind us up.

If you had said oysters or Caesar salad, it could have just been an idiosyncrasy. Combining the two was too obvious.

Or did you say the whole dish was fried?

Oh, come on.
Sharon, there are some things in life one has to accept on faith but I agree this is beyond the pale of foody reason.

Prairie/Rocky Mountain oysters, obviously.
