1990 Roger Blachon St. Joseph

Picked up a bottle from a cellar sale today at my locker facility. Kermit import apparently back in the day and the fill looks terrific. I'm curious if anyone here knows this producer as I'm clueless. Curious though and it wasn't an expensive date. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment....

Roger Blachon died in 2007 and his family is/was working to continue production.

I've seen the St Joseph '90 offered for around $40.

"Roger Blachon died in 2007, and his widow and son Sylvain have gamely continued with these traditional wines. A new cuvée, the Hommage to Roger Blachon, was introduced with the 2006 vintage. When the wines are on song, they are true to their place, and nicely unpretentious."

Thanks for the info guys. I have to admit that when I saw this bottle with the Kermit sticker, I wondered if there was some unknown stash of Trollat or Gentaz lurking about in the guy's locker! Alas, not to be.
