Suddenly... Windsor, CT

Where do they find these towns? So, a short jaunt north of Hartford is in the works. Anyone know a good wine store or a good resto up thataway?

Thank you for any pointers.

Tough area. On your way up 15, you might stop here.

But then again you could also bring wine from home.

If you're looking for wine partners, I think the inimitable David Bueker lives near Windsor.

Table and Vine is in Springfield which is not far away and on the way to the Amherst/ Northampton which is a fun day/ long weekend trip

Insofar as I may be heard by anything, which may or may not care what I say, I ask, if it matters, that you be forgiven for anything you may have done or failed to do which requires forgiveness. Conversely, if not forgiveness but something else may be required to ensure any possible benefit for which you may be eligible after the destruction of your body, I ask that this, whatever it may be, be granted or withheld, as the case may be, in such a manner as to insure your receiving said benefit. I ask this in my capacity as your elected intermediary between yourself and that which may not be yourself, but which may have an interest in the matter of your receiving as much as it is possible for you to receive of this thing, and which may in some way be influenced by this ceremony. Amen.

Lou, Mark's quote is known as the "Possibly Proper Death Litany," although I don't really think of it as a litany. But perhaps I am not the liturgical expert that I fancy myself.

I admit to knowing nothing of this litany. Somebody help me.

Here you go, Lou:

The Agnostic's Prayer

Mark Lipton

(I'm sure I've heard it invoked in the UUA)

The Unitarian church where I attended I never heard anything that traditional.
Seriously I became board chairman of that church which had close to 400 members. Talk about trying to herd cats, that's where that saying originated.

What do you get when you cross a Jehovah's Witness with a Unitarian? Someone who shows up at your door, but has no idea why.

Still laughing, love it!
