Ridge Lytton Springs Zinfandel '92 -- Inky red, intense bouquet, black fruits, briary and brambly, raspberries, deep dark fruits, silky profile, components including tannins in balance, some dustiness, spice for complexity. [E]

TO: Richard -- Happy you are monitoring my postings! I pulled this especially this evening with you in mind. This lovely wine has to pass muster in your regard.

Worked well with Charwood Grilled Porterhouses, Scalloped Potatoes, and Green Bean/Arugula Salad...

And then Chocolate/Caramel Cookies.

Bill, The weather is so ideal plus the BGE always delivers, especially with makings as fine as these porterhouses.

It was about 66 degrees outside and just enough breeze to fuel the BGE.

And, yes, the steaks were marvelous.

Pulling a Zin for this type of meal was a switch for me, but it worked well, especially perhaps with the salad being part of the serving.
