Gonon vineyard work

Nice report. Thanks, Ben.

(For those who understand how to disassemble a web page: if you want to see the pictures larger, replace "-120" with "-480", like this.)

I'm not sure how to disassemble a web page but for the less technically adept I did manage to use your technique by right-clicking on any of the rather too small pictures, opening it in a new tab, and then replacing "-120" with "-480" in the web address.

That'll do.

I'm no geologist, but how does a hill erode "because of the chemicals used" on it?

Used of "herbicide". No grass, so the hill erode with wind and rain.

You want to see erosion because of chemical use? Go check out the convex, dome-shaped hillocks of Beaujolais. Denuded of cover, the friable topsoail just washes off. Overworking the soil (e.g. ploughing several times a year) also causes erosion. In some parts of old St-Joseph (e.g. near Trollat), terraces are still common.
