Perhaps you recently had a Tintilla de Rota

Just on the off chance that you have had a Tintilla de Rota from Bodegas J. Ferris M. (from the Jerez area) lately, I would pass on to you something I recently learned, which is that Tintilla de Rota is the grape variety.

Yes, I think that is correct. Although it is difficult when you are translating Spanish websites into English to know if when it is saying Tintilla from Rota whether that is just the translator reconfiguring the "de" or if actually it is from Rota.

But the whole Brad chiming in out of nowhere about posting notes soon made sense to you, Joe?

Okay, it's probably just me.

A few friends and I had it at a dinner at Convivio this past week.

Huh.

Well, that's certainly a coincidence.

Hm.

Was Levi one of these 'friends'?

It's a cry for help. Ignore it.

The name of the grape variety is tintilla de Rota, not tintilla. DNA fingerprinting has identified it as the same grape variety that's called graciano in Rioja and tinta muda in Portugal.
