Joe, we've done plenty of cross-pond comparisons of Trimbach, as you know.
It's pretty clear shipment, distribution, storage, etc. do not create premox but, on average, accelerate its symptoms.
Not much data on Huet that way, as it's been in the spotlight only recently.

fwiw, while the famed, absurdly expensive custom air shipment i did when i moved from scotland to california blew many minds when it came to the adverse effects of shipping, it helped not a jot when it came to 2000 chablis.

thank fuck teh fatsink loves poxed chardonnay.

One would think there were no fatvolumes of earlier (prior to early-mid 1990s) case studies of premox.
There may be, actually - half bottles from Alsace. They've never tracked the respective 750s as expected in my experience; not even close.

2002 Le Mont Sec right now....seems a bit sweet for sec. subtle nutty on the nose. golden in the glass. also, a bit of ginger bread. hmmmm, ill recork for tomorrow.

2002 CdB demi-sec with Chadderdon label is moderately p'oxed. Medium-plus bronze in color. Drinkable, but fading fast.

I liked the Le Mont better, finding it better balanced to my palate. The CDB was huge on release.

I have confirmed with a friend, longtime Huët's UK agent, that premox problems in 2002 are not limited to US, and so it has nothing to do with Chadderdon.

Aren't they still?
