An '02 Le Mont Demi from my stash showed some premox, but it was largely a lovely showing and the wine continued to freshen up with air.

I don't subscribe to that point of view. Despite getting better, the wine was clearly showing premox and was not as it should be.
 
Opened an '02 fizz (first release) last night. Very slight apple-juice on opening, which freshened out in just a few minutes. Best one in recent memory.
 
Just had a moderately poxed 2002 pétillant reserve from my French stash, purchased on release from the domaine and kept cold (in France). Color was fine but the palate was not.

Had a taste of this. Really great stuff, best I've had since release.

My own contribution: a 1ere trie Moelluex Clos du Bourg '02 was excellent a year ago. I don't remember the importer strip. I have another waiting and will look at the strip. Purchased at Sam's.

I haven't experienced any issues with the '02 sweeties, nor have I seen any reports of problems. The sugar should keep them safe.

Clos du Bourg 1er by the glass at USqC last night was not a happy drink. Starting to dry out. Tasted oldish (for its age) and out of whack. Open too long? Still in mourning for Gaston? Hard to tell with btg. I might stop by again soon for another data point.
