Interesting!

Just spent a week in Paris and Beaune. Ate breakfast every day and multicourse lunches and dinners most days, including at Taillevent, Les Voisines, Ma Cuisine, etc., etc., plus chapitre at Clos du Vougeot, all with abundant wine selections.

Afterwards, according to one day's weighing...gained zero (0) pounds.

More likely, lots of BIG-time almost non-stop walking, some of it over difficult country-side terrain at restaurants, chateaus, and wineries.

Pete, as you may know, the "French Paradox" was a term coined on a 60 Minutes broadcast that referred to the lower incidence of heart disease and other diet-related health problems in the Perigord, where the consumption of fat was as high as in the US.

Your experience more closely relates to this book.
