2012 Sandlands Trousseau

I find the Sandlands Trousseau very specific to and allusive of Bohan-Dillon.

How enviably site-specific. Does the Hirsch PN from the same vineyard share these traits? If so, I should seek it out.

Actually across the road, I believe, but yes.

BTW, if you can find it, try the Combe, Trosseau from Ballard Canyon in Santa Barbara County. Perhaps, a bit fuller and a little more site specific but equally charming.
Best, Jim

Yes, I'll second this.

And I'll third it. MarkS put me on to this one, which I found in Ithaca. It met with unanimous approval from wine drinkers of varying levels of disorderliness at one of our soup nights.

Fittingly enough, this just got released today.

A lurker informs me that the Hirsch Bohan Dillon Pinot Noir is not any longer sourced from the Bohan Vineyard to any degree. Apparently this has been true for a few vintages now. It used to be that there was some Bohan fruit in that bottling.
