Had the treat this past Tuesday of tasting the current wines from this Oregon outfit. There was melon, gamay and a gamay, pinot blend. Each were beyond delightful but to generalize, the fruit was vivid and the wines all had great texture and length. These are wines for pleasure as well as contemplation and priced to sell. Not surprisingly the winemakers are also delightful.

I've recently crossed paths with the gamay nouveau and the "Rhinestones" (the gamay-pinot blend). They were both somewhat surly out of the gate and benefited from a long decant, but patience is rewarded (24 hours for the gamay really sealed the deal). Exciting stuff.
