It will not be easy to become a proud member of the lucky 10% but I'm going to make the sacrifice, and work on it diligently.

"If the top decile somehow could be induced to curb their consumption level to that of the next lower group (the ninth decile), then total ethanol sales would fall by 60 percent."

Wow.

shit. this place used to be numberate. or numerable. or somethin.

talking of numberals, the knauß riesling s 12 in my glass has survived the str-dus-ord-ind run well, and is a lithesome, electrolytey thing. as a dry wine, i'd rate it at least 4 from a limited edition set of prongs that have been lovingly hand-fashioned from dried lime skins, dryer lint and sea salt, and then personally signed by wine therapy's c coad, esq.

as a sweet wine, it is riesling.

time for teh second bottle.

Sigh.
I dig your point, the top 10% drink an average of 2.57 bottles a day (18 bottles per week from the article), so 2 bottles a day would put you in the lower half of the top decile.

Exactly (the sigh was directed at Ian for owning up to a mistake he didn't make).

The missus and I share a bottle every night and were dismayed to find ourselves among the slackers.

I am not convinced. Data from retailers' 'shoppers cards / loyalty cards' indicates a different consumer.
