NWR: Portland Audio Help

Has anyone here had any experience with Echo Audio on SW Washington (nr 11th) or Pearl Audio in the Pearl, in Portland? I am looking to set up a multi-room system. Not super hi-end, and digital only, but, ideally, expandable and upgradable, over time. Any advice or leads would be very much appreciated.
 
Recently was advised to look into Sonos speakers, particularly because of the flexibility to pipe different digital streams to different sets of them.
 
I love my sonos system, but it's definitely not high-end...great for background music....great ipad UI. I put B&W in-ceiling speakers all over the house w/Sonos amps. The sonos speakers sound like shit.

All my high end audio has been in boxes for over 5 years. so sad.

Thanks, Keith. I see Pearl audio is a Peachtree dealer. I sttill would love to hear from anyone who has experience with service from or expertise of either of those two shops.
 
Echo Audio is great. They move a lot audio equipment, though mostly used. Bret who works there is very knowledgable, 20 years in the business. Also check out Stereotypes across the river. They do Sonos also, but will have other options. Rich would be a great person to work with, 20+ years in the high audio business.
 
Thank you, Travis! I love the idea of used amps and pre-amp, for my needs. And you are the second person to recommend Stereotypes. Maybe I will hop a cab or a bike and go see them too.
 
Another nice thing about Stereotyoes is that they have three dedicated listening rooms. The two stores know each other well, the audio business is small especially on the higher end. Brett who works at echo worked at Stereotyoes about five years ago.
 
Check out Audio Specialties out on 102nd and Halsey. Favorite used HiFi shop. Owner refurbishes and repairs everything himself. Prices are great.
 
Thanks for all the recs. Kurt and Kollin at Echo were super helpful and guided me well. Can't wait to get back and hear how the gear sounds when it is installed.
