Kill the "what did you drink tonight" and "save the 'what did you drink tonight'" threads.

but, i enjoyed your loire valley pics and the art gallery pics. truly.

Yea, verily.

So, why all the hate on fotos?

I must have missed the memo re-defining 'yea, verily' from 'I agree' to 'I disagree.' I thought Oswaldo's Loire photo essays were landmark, and I always enjoy Brad's shoots. No photophobia from this quarter.

The 2013 CRB Gamay needed a hour or so to smooth out but was very good after that. In a Freudian slip I originally typed that as very god. Maybe I should have left it.

Kay,

I just want to congratulate you on your thread drifting. It really is a version of living well as the best riposte.

Why thank you, Jonathan. My only hope is that we can get this thread to twenty pages.

Shouldn't be hard if we keep talking 'bout wines we drank with dinner last night.

Sake with grilled chicken hearts at Biwa tonight. Ginga shizuku junmai daiginjo and watari bune 55 junmai ginjo. As you'd expect, the estate bune was more full throated and less polished.

Sorry no photos, but another vote to let democracy flourish (and the efficient capital market theory). I'll keep posting to the "WDYDT" thread as the spirit moves.

On our first two nights, delish St. Nicolas de Bourgueils from Sébastien David, 2011 Kézako and 2010 Dithyrambus, different quintessences of cab franc, the former more boisterous, the latter more refined, both exhibiting gobs of leather and sylvan humus.

Good bottle of '02 Huet Mont sec this weekend. A soupcon of oxidation pushes through, but the vitality of the wine is so good, it shows as an appealing facet of complexity. Good color. Such good intensity and finesse.

There's a thread for '02 Huets, Ian. This isn't it.

Just got home to find someone had left a half a bottle of Moussamoussettes on my doorstep. Sitting open for two days on my doorstep, it was totally flat of course, but oh so delicious. Still has verve and the flavours are joyous. Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.

Oh yeah...you guys celebrate Thanksgiving when the leaves are still on the trees and you still have a fat larder set up, unlike the Pilgrims who had to settle for the beneficence of the Waponaugs.

Maybe if the Save me and the wine I drank thread had a bit more of that João in Kansas spirit. Or was just a bit more frayed.
We can probably get Bucko in here to delete a few posts at random, if that's more homey to you.
