Yeah, it's been coming. That's why I bought so much 2009 cot, I knew it would be the last one.

There is a succession plan in place very similar to Pepiere (Marc is retired) that will bring continuity. I've heard that Didier will teach and pass on his knowledge, which is the most important thing. IMO, he is one of the most important thinkers about viticulture in our time.

I've repeatedly said, even when it was still on the market, that I heard 2009 was the last cot. AFAIK, it's been going into the Pif.

I know a restaurant where you can drink a bottle at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately Arnold is not a CRB fan so my main reason for travelling wouldn't carry much weight in that quarter.

Terrible. You wouldn't want to look for any, especially in New York.

But you are always welcome to come over later to find out exactly how badly they turned out.
 
How come people are always all Cot this and Gamay that? For me, the Sauvignon is what I will miss the most.

I guess it is just not cool to like the Sauvignon grape anymore, so I have heard.

sound very good in touraine and macon, so must be pretty good across central france. full yields! ripe grapes!! portends positive cash flow.
 
The Loire is a long river, Jay.

I am now drinking the 2009 #5, which has finally settled down. So I'll miss that wine as well.

I've been on a jihad against sauvingon for 15 years or so. I can drink CRB, but I'd rather drink the cardonnay that I haven't seen in a long time. What was it called again?

Oh, and sauvignon was never and should never be cool. It's not grown in the Jura.

We just had our first Tue Boeuf last week - a Sauvignon, and very good cool.

Are you traveling through D.C. at all these days?
