Puffeney quits???

Here's a QN from last nights bedspread: Medium weight yet soft this puffy quilt has the stuffing to go the distance. The stitching is tight at the moment but I'm pretty confident it will loosen up over a few more washings. 3.5 thimbles out of 5 with the potential for 4.

Wanna talk hook rugs? Mme L's grandma made some gorgeous ones that are sprinkled round the house. We recently sent one to Turkey for restoration.

Domaine de la Pinte was always my second choice for Poulsard, etc. I have always enjoyed the wine from this producer, without knowing much about it. Looks like it is choice #1 now.

I only discovered this two or three years ago when Weygandt started bringing them in. I agree. It deserves more buzz than it gets, also for the Trousseaus and the Pinot Noirs. He makes some sort of blend of Trousseau and Pinot Noir that doesn't work for me, though.

Pinte has a tasting room in Arbois. Very worthwhile visit. The very attractive, knowledgeable woman (hey, it's all about the experience) poured over a dozen wines for us. I brought home a couple of bottles of '07 Savagnin. My friend, who is not a real fan of oxidative whites, liked that wine.
