So, who do I talk to about the crappy cork in this bottle? Sheesh. Came out in a zillion pieces, well, a zillion minus a jillion that went into the wine. Rolhas de perdição.

Oh. I'm writing in public. Ahem.

God, this wine is wonderful. How can I describe it? Tangy, plummy, a whiff of leather and game and strawberries, a teeny lifted note (actual VA or just alcohol?). It's been open for three hours and non-stop lovely. I had intended to put half away but that's not going to happen. There's a late-arriving, lingering, fascinating note of marzipan and roses.

This is why to drink wine.

Nice. I remember enjoying the 01, 03 and 05 when they came out, each for their own pleasures. But as a man of limited space I ended up only focusing on 05. All the better for those with broader reach.
