This was in a great place yesterday. I expected something stuck in a halfway house and a little too ripe/fat for my taste, but it was sheer perfection with Wylie Points, with just the proper amount of bounce. Try one if you got 'em.

Hmm, tempting. We have Shigoku and Kumamotos for tonight, will see if I can find my stash of this.

Did you pop and pour or air it out?

the planets must have lined up. . .here i am drinking 2009 clisson from magnum, left at the restaurant by a local vigneron from his new year's eve lunch.

very truly the best muscadet i've ever toyed with. an amazing display of understated decadence without the body or gravitas that would place it in chablis. and even the tiniest bit of feusil (sp?) that one might get from riesling.

ripping.

We ended up drinking the André-Michel Brégeon Muscadet Gorges 2004 with the oysters. Fabulous bottle. Very aromatic and expressive, gorgeous texture, and aging beautifully.

Also opened Vouette et Sorbée FIDÈLE which the group seemed to like but it was showing some wood and oxidation apple like flavors which was distracting for me. Better with food then as an aperitif for sure.
