The best damn Chinon I've had in a long while, maybe ever

The implication wasn't that they weren't produced by Raffault, only that they just had a very very large bottling in 90 that seemed to just keep on coming...and coming...

Not true. You know it's taken me a long time to get into young Cab Franc. I always liked the older stuff because the greenness has shifted to tobacco.

Hi Scott - what time did you make the reservation for?

There were 2 additions (Pascaline, Ben), were you able to get a table for 9?

Cherry blossoms and Cabernet Franc in DC in early April. Just a thought.

Back to the future.

I suppose I could dig some more out. WWW locker rates are a-risin'. Need to cull.

I had a fun chat recently with a knowledgeable person about just how much '90 Olga there is and has been over the years...

It's the 1977 Bodega Weinert Estrella Malbec of Chinon!

-Eden (for two decades you'd be told "golly, we just found a few more pallets in the warehouse!")

Great. Looking forward. I'll bring the Olga '89 if that meshes well. I'd usually decant this and could double-decant before taking the subway to Racines - but if others see this as a crime I'm happy to follow your advice.
