Has anyone had the chance to taste Dom. du Collier whites with a little age on them? I just tasted some current releases, and the potential for excitement is obvious, but so is the wood.
bought a couple bottles of 2005 Collier when came thru Crush years ago. had one in 2014, and promptly placed the sole survivor on the auction block. heartless, i know.
too much oak for me, but I am oak averse.
I liked the 2005 a lot and thought it needed a lot of time. The 2002 has been severely premox affected. Of my 4 bottles 3 were shot and 1 was glorious. However it was glorious in that perfectly mature 30 year old Chenin sort of way.
