Has anybody tried some? I could get some 93 Poyeux and would be nice to know if producer was trumping vintage in this case.

I did not love the 1993 Poyeux the one time I got to try it. It was a bit flat to me, lacking complexity and energy. I have no idea if that was a representative bottle, but personally I would pass unless the price is especially compelling.
 
A discriminating lurker writes in to say that a 93 Bourg that he took to Atera recently was "glorious." He gave a second bottle to the local somms, who subsequently had it with friends, with the same verdict. And so it goes.
