2012 Foillard Morgan classique

My first opportunity with this sans soufre bottling. Bright cherry/blackberry under-current (currant?)
Plenty of structure suggesting I opened this too young, but gosh it is good. Seems brighter and fresher than the sulfured bottling, but that could just be the power of suggestion, as I don't have a bottle of that open to compare blind (or otherwise).

Never heard of this bottling until now, but a quick google explained all.

Thanks for the note.

I've been drinking several bottles of the '12 Côte du Py over the past few months and haven't been amazed. Plenty bright, fresh and tart, but not much depth or structure, which I guess is standard for the vintage. I've been happy to drink the wines, but I've been happier to move on to the '13, which is easier pleasure.

That said, I'm holding on to one more bottle of the '12 and will see what may emerge.
