For the Scherrer fans!

For anyone interested...a homerun for Fred (and Judi) Scherrer. The Scherrer Sonoma Old & Mature Vines Zin '13 is stunning. Really exceptional!

I normally let their Zins rest for a while but couldn't resist pulling a bottle this evening with pizza. (Of course, it helps to be enjoying it here where an ocean breeze puts the mind at ease.)

If you like Zins, you are hereby touted as to how good this bottling is.

This performance art is starting to veer toward the brilliant.

A long con of this nature takes not only inspiration, but incredible dedication.

I am an atheist, but am beginning to believe in an afterlife. If someone attempted irony free Dressler, I believe it would read like these posts.

Irony free and simplistic.

Funny, it's the same in Italian: uno specchio per le allodole.

Though we cut to the chase in English these days: troll.

I've often wondered if Till Eulenspiegel is also tied up in this somehow.

Or perhaps Rachel Owlglass?

I drank a 2004 recently that was unexciting.
But a 2004 OMV tonight is great: gorgeous blueberry fruit, earthy in the way that good syrah is, good acidity and tannins, has improved with a couple hours of air.

Bottle variation?
