Lost my rose-colored glasses

I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet, but I have to say that I've historically loved the Eric Nicolas/Domaine de Belliviere wine, Les Girofles. Delicious.

This thread has more sloppy seconds than a Sean Avery news conference.

We seem to have somehow forgotten Il Mimo in the list of worthwhile rose.
I think someone had it up a few posts earlier. I didn't have it this year but the year previous I really enjoyed it. This year I was really into the Ameztoi for sure. I also was digging some of the bigger ones like the Tavel from Modoree and the Janasse and cheap one from Spain by Jane Ventura.

Speaking of white-red mixes, last night I had the A. Margaine Brut Ros from the latest release and it was very nice. Perhaps a little facile on the outset, but with air it got its structure all together and was very, very sexy.

Though in my experience with the Margaine a regular wine glass is definitely needed. A slightly unpleasant bitterness emerged in a flute which vanished when poured into a larger glass.
