WINES:

Zind-Humbrecht Brand Riesling '11 -- Pale/medium yellow, fresh bouquet, citrus fruits, minerals, quite approachable, elements well-structured in balance, firm acid backbone interacts with solid core of fruit, classic Riesling. [E]

Domaine Jamet Cote-Rotie '01 -- Dark red, melange of aromas, red fruits, leather, bacon, spices, medium body, ample acidity balanced with fruits, smooth silkiness, nice complexity, no hurry with this trophy. [E]

Domaine Trapet Latricieres-Chambertin '00 -- Dark red, berry fruits, plump bouquet, good earth, medium body, tannins well integrated, solid fruits, elegant profile, a lot to like with this Grand Cru, good life left. [E]

Pete -

the reason I asked if you ever cook at home last time was that I never see pictures of food from home, only these grand outings. Post some of your home creations as well!

Mark, thanks!

I used to do that but it wasn't too well received so I decided to (mostly) desist. No big loss, of course, to Wine Disorder!

Cole, Yes, I believe there were. They must be covered up.

This lamb course was splendid...and so was the branzino, for that matter.

Altogether, very successful luncheon! I basically just stayed out of the chef's way during the menu planning, then found wines to measure up.
