I was especially taken with the Brezza Canubi and the Grivot. The Texier was very good, but, uncorked late in the proceedings, I felt it was still opening up when we got at it. The ESJ was also very good: fresh and acidy, I thought.
The Huet, I dare say, was showing extremely well by the end of the evening. The Doisey Daene (mine) showed surprisingly dry; in my past experience with these halves, the balance improves dramatically with extended air time.
A pleasant evening withal: genial company and some fine wines. Thanks for putting me up, Jonathan and Gail - or should I say, putting up with me.
Larry, hope you receive only good reports during your daughter's first semester.
