Hot dogs, potato salad wine match?

I know, I know, beer. But what would you put wine wise beside this cookout classic?

The hot dogs are local and have substance, the potato salad is your mom's standard recipe.

Leaning towards sparkling riesling.

Along with all the expected beers, we had a Lambrusco and it made perfect sense.

I would think a Lambrusco secco would work well with hot dogs. (Though I wouldn't expect you to be eating hot dogs, Rahsaan.)

I like mustard with the hot dog and the potato salad, so yeah Riesling. But Runite (spelling?) on ice would temporarily wipe away about 40 years.

So what did you go with? (I'm guessing not the Skerk)

Yes, CRB gamay '03 and an ERFW '09 riesling, which has become petillant. The riesling was a better match with the dogs but the gamay was quite lovely.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
