I had Eric's bottling of Texier Cote du Rhone Chat Fou '12 this evening for the first time.
What a delightful wine. Just the slightest hint of heat that seemed to give the wine a desirable element of nimbleness and vitality, nice freshness and roundness, nothing not to like, and very quaffable.
There is usually a story to Eric's label and naming choices. Is this the case with Chat Fou?
And what's the blend of the bottling?
It worked very well with venison sausage, garbanzo beans, cornbread dressing, and spinach.
