Texier Rouletabulle '12

Interesting tonight was the Texier Rouletabulle '12.

Upon opening it was clear with many small bubbles. Everyone really liked it including one guy who said he normally wasn't thrilled about sparklings but he really liked this bottling.

Curious, though...the second pour tasted the same but was very cloudy in the glass which fact was quite mystifying. If anyone has any thoughts as to what brought this on, it would be of interest.

Very nice aperitif wine served with country pate, cheese, and smoked salmon.

It was the perfect introduction to the main course of scallops, foie gras, cippolini onions, and pureed peas paired with Zind Humbrecht Lot 170 Gewurztraminer '11.

Any ideas on the cloudy second pour of the Texier Rouletabulle '12?

. . . . Pete
