2014 Baudry Rosé

Opened this weekend. It was crazily ripe and dark. Robust in a way the past few vintages have not been, to me.

I realize I have no bearings on the 2014 vintage in the Loire. But I had thought to hear that it was also lean-ish. Perhaps such an idea was mistaken?

The only other 2014 from that part(-ish) of the world I've had has been the spritzy sparkler of a wine that's the Pépière. Which is neat.

Input welcome.

Definitely more oomph than last year's ethereal version. Still and all it's nicely put together and might benefit from a little time.

Drank my first one tonight. Fat and blowsy when first poured, the acidity came up a bit over the course of a couple hours. Tidy but no 2010.

The acidity emerges well after a couple of days in he fridge.

Am I to be expected to open wine and not drink it? Sheesh.

No expectations involved - only extending the time course of your observation, fine sir (and dropping the 't' from teh while I was at it). Mine usually disappear within a couple hours but once in awhile Mr. Fridge gets a recork in the interest of science.

In truth, I should learn to do this more often. So many wines improve with a couple days of airing-out.
