Bereche 'Beaux Regards' - crisp, citrussy and delightful. Love their estate wines (actively avoiding the negociant wines).

1991 Lucien Boillot Nuits St. George "Les Pruliers" - perfectly mature, soft layered Burgundy. Beguiling.

1997 von Schubert Maximin Grunhauser Abstberg Auslese - vibrant and fascinating. Sweetness and acidity balanced to a needle's point.

Is there a quick way to identify the negociant wines from Bereche? I don't recall ever having seen any -- but that got me wondering if I would know the difference.

They wil be labeled Raphel et Vincent

Unfortunately many online retailers don't provide that information

Glad to hear you liked it, have had some difficult 2011s from growers. Although also some surprises.

The negotiant wines have completely different labels than the estate wines. All are labelled as Raphael and Vincent Bereche Crus Sélectionnés and then either 'Cote' 'Montagne' or 'Vallee' in the center of the label depending on where it came from in the greater region. After that, details are in smaller print for each specific bottling. In person it would be difficult to confuse for their estate's wines.
