Last weekend, I opened my last bottle of the 2008 Clos des Briords with dinner. Upon opening, I found it still zippy and mineral-laden but with a tail note of oxidation that robbed it of much of its appeal. Into the fridge it went until last night. On revisiting it, I discovered a vibrant, vivid Muscadet just loaded with seashell and citrus. My doubts have been laid to rest and I bow in the direction of Marc Ollivier. Another great triumph.
