Real Wine on Long Island

I don't know how many of you have had the pleasure of drinking actual Real Wine from Long Island but it is out there at Southold Farm + Cellar. Started as a Kickstarter project in 2013, Regan Medor has been producing disorderly friendly wines with purchased grapes while he waits for his own plantings to mature. His vinifications are proof positive that real wine can be made from Long Island grapes. I've had the pleasure of tasting his wines at his tiny tasting room on several occasions and would recommend the trip highlyif the tasting room were still open. Unfortunately the Town of Southold has uncerimoniously shut them down.

You can still find the wines in NYC, check the website for locations, and I highly recommend trying them. If you enjoy them as I do and wish to support someone doing good work, send a note to the Town of Southold. It's the disorderly thing to do.

I apologize for the spamish tone of this post. There's got to be an app to clean this up.
