Does anyone else make a pineau d'aunis reminiscent of l'Arpent? Can't say I've found one.
I enjoy Puzelat but find it more savory than Arpent.originally posted by .sasha:

How reminiscent?
Puzelat's has the moves, without the depth.

Speaking of pineau d'aunisI have one lone remaining bottle of 2005 Belliviere Rouge-Gorge which was a tannic brute in its youth and frankly undrinkable (for me, anyway).
I thought it might still need a few years to soften, but lurkers claim it's starting to crack up. Anyone drank this recently?
I have two bottles of the "Louis Derre" bottling. I wonder whether they are ready? (All I really remember about them is that David Lillie apologized to me when I bought them....)originally posted by slaton:

2014 Pineau d'Aunis Rosé - also very ripe, at 13.5% abv, it is spritzy and fussy amid its viscous weight. An angry thing right now; needs to be shaken and told to calm the fuck down. Probably better with time, I mean.

Today there's a bit more rose, Pif, and Sauvignon at Chambers St.
Consider me the CRB tracker.
Sasha - there hasn't been any Arpent since 2012, no?
And no cot since 2009...

Just checking, how many bottles do we figure is too many of the 2014 Pif?
